So far, so good.  I have used the Janome HD3000 only a few times since I received it, but it has worked very well each time.  As another reviewer wrote, I don't like how lightweight the foot is, but it has worked very well.   I previously had a 1970's Singer that had much heavier-duty parts, so a newer machine with lighter plastic parts may just take getting used to. The machine sews very smoothly, and I have had no problems at all at this point.
