SportRack

Product Description

, Rain-X 161040 Water-Resistant Roof Top Cargo Bag ">, Keeper 07203 Waterproof Roof Top Cargo Bag ">, Thule 665 Transporter Hitch Mount Luggage Box ">, 1000 LB Hitch Folding Cargo Luggage Rack Carrier Hauler ">, This hitch-mounted four-bike rack fits 1.25- or two-inch hitch receivers, with a single arm design that accepts race, mountain, or touring bikes. A "no-wobble" threaded hitch pin prevents rack sway, while rubber extrusion prevents damage to your bikes' frames. Bikes with top tubes up to 2.5 inches in diameter easily fit into the rack's receiver slots, and the device tilts down for easy access to the rear of your vehicle when not in use. A locking kit, sold separately, is also available.
In all, the basket offers an impressive combination of design, durability, and affordability when you need to safely transport your bikes from point A to point B.
About SportRack Located in Granby, Quebec SportRack started manufacturing automotive ski racks in 1980. The company's early focus on "easy-on/easy-off" products has led to a product line featuring an array of multi-sport roof rack systems and accessories, hitch-mounted products, cargo boxes, and trunk-mounted racks.

This review is from: SportRack - A30604 - Hitch'n'Drive 4 Bike Rack - (For 1.25"/2" Receiver) (Sports)
The rack is OK, but I have two problems with it:

1. The design of the hitch mount that lets you use 2" or 1.25" receivers makes the rack cumbersome to install.
2. The rack uses a threaded bolt, instead of a hitch pin, to attach to the receive. The bolt is an odd size, so it is impossible to lock the rack to the receiver.
