These clippers cut like butter through my scruffy dogs hair and even my poodle mix. They are quite heavy and do get warm but work wonderfully, I hope mine last as long as others who have had them.

Only thing, it wouldn't cut through the tough down shedding hair of my mom's shelty. His hair was just slowing it down, that it was easier with scissors. Also a negative that they don't come with guides and they're pretty expensive and right now amazon doesn't sell them. Oh yeah also if you think the conair's will fit, they don't, tried it and there too chort to clip on.

Other than those draw backs they have been worth the money and I am sure I would of spent this just cutting my 2 dogs hair at a groomer and I think I will have many more years of use with these to save my money and become closer with my pets.
