Offering a delightful watercolor decoration that straddles classic English and Asian styling, the Simply Fine Chirp pattern colorful renderings of birds and branches against a white ground, while the dinner plate is further accented with a teal outer rim. All pieces are crafted of Lenox fine bone china, which is guaranteed to be chip resistant. The diameters of the plates are 11 inches for the dinner, 9-1/4 inches for the salad, and 6-1/2 inches for the bowl. The tea/coffee cup has a 10-ounce capacity. Dishwasher-, oven-, freezer- and microwave-safe, the pattern is backed by Lenox's lifetime replacement program.

I bought these dishes to replace the mixed pieces of white stoneware we've used for years as our every day china and I just love them! They are beautiful, with rich colors and wonderful artwork. I think the pattern will work for many decorating styles, from contemporary to traditional. We can use these dishes every day without being concerned that they are too delicate, and they are definitely nice enough when we have company for dinner as well. They fit easily into the dishwasher, which some dinnerware does not. I like the sizes of all the pieces. The bowls are large enough for my breakfast cereal or my husband's nightly ice cream snack. The mugs have a comfortable handle, better than some of the smaller china cups we've used. I am more than pleased with my choice of this dinnerware that is so pretty and yet so practical.
<br/>I checked a department store's price for the four piece place setting. On 11/22/2010 it was on sale for $99 from a regular price of $149 (plus tax which in my area is 9.9%). That compares to $66 per place setting at Amazon, no tax/free ship. ($88/place setting and 4 for 3 special.)
