Okay, I hunted and searched for a set of dishes that wasn't gonna bore me to death and look like everybody else's white dishes.  After looking at what felt like hundreds of 16 piece sets I found these and then could only find one review on them.  That review said what I am going to say here - in the Picture - it looks like there is a Purple colored border but the picture is wrong.  The places that look purple in the picture are all actually Black. But that is okay. <br/><br/>I've had these in the original shipping carton in anticipation of an upcoming move for about 8 weeks now and finally couldn't stand it anymore and pulled out my camera and one of the salad plates and took a picture and then somehow managed to get the plate back into the packaging.  The plate is Beautiful even if it doesn't have any purple on it.  The border colors are great.  <br/><br/>Tonite I decided I have to have one of the coffee cups to take to work and I am again happy.  Its Black with the border colors at the top and the cream color on the inside.<br/><br/>They came well packaged and nothing is broken.  My biggest problem is going to get the heavy box up a flight of stairs once I do get to move.  Other than that I am very happy with the set and can't wait to get moved so I can start to enjoy them.<br/><br/>P.S. The only other thing I want to add is they are Imported which is disappointing.  I really wish they had been made in the U.S. and I am unable to understand why Americans can't produce stoneware as nice as this.
